# Phase One

Phase One of BasedMemes represents the initial iteration of our vision, encompassing two essential layers out of four core components we aim to develop.

## Meme Layer

The Meme layer is the foundational component of BasedMemes, serving as the first of four core layers within our product ecosystem. It is the primary interface where users can discover, upload, and engage with memes on BasedMemes. This layer fosters a community-driven hub for memes and meme culture within the crypto/Web3 space.

## Social Layer

The second layer of BasedMemes integrates social interactions into the meme hub, enhancing user engagement and creator interaction

### User Experience

Non-creator users primarily use BasedMemes to discover and use memes. They can save and download memes freely. Upon connecting their wallet, users create a profile, unlocking features like adding memes to favorites and interacting with meme creators. This includes following creators and engaging with their creations.

### Creator Experience

Meme creators can establish profiles to track their follower count and the popularity of their memes. This fosters a direct relationship between creators and users, empowering creators to cultivate communities around their memes and creations directly on BasedMemes.
